Anomaly subtracts the 1916–2018 calendar-date mean of the same N-day total, smoothed by 31, 15, 11, 7, or 1 days for the 1, 3, 5, 7, or 30 day window respectively. Smoothing wraps across the end of the calendar year. Brown is drier than the smoothed mean; green is wetter. The color range is fixed across dates within each window, and varies by window.
